Every communications around the subject or the mentor for your research work should happen by filling or commenting the following spreadsheet :

⚠️ If anything should change during the evolution of your research work, you should modify the spreadsheet yourself. Even if you’ve alerted us by email or slack, you are in charge of updating the spreadsheet. It’s the only source of truth.

📆 Planning

Memoir :

• 25/4 : Mentor and problem submitted to adminstration.
• 2/5 : Mentor and problem final validation by the administration.
• 19/6 : Memoir sent to mentor for final check and grading.
• 28/6 : Final memoir sent to administration with mentor's grade and comment.

Book / Scientific article :

• 28/05 : you have a subject and a mentor for your book/scientific article and they are both approved by the administration. This happens only on the spreadsheet above.
• 01/11 : your book/scientific article should be handed to your mentor for final review and corrections.
• 15/11 : your book/scientific article should be submitted to the administration.
• 25/11 to 03/12 : defenses for book and scientific article.
• 12/2019 (date to define) : Best X-HEC Entrepreneurs Book Award jury (only for the 5 best books).

Can I do my research work with someone else ?

It can be done in teams. Only if the team matches with your start up team.

What language can I use for my research work ?

It can be done in the language you’re most comfortable with (English or French)

What about the mentor ?

For your research work, you will need to find a mentor. The administration can help you with that. The mentor should be an expert in the field you’re interested in. Students or very recently graduated students will not be accepted as mentors. The compensation will be as follows:

Research paper:

• 305€ 1 student
• 427€ pair working

Thesis/Scientific articles:

• 457€ 1 student
• 640€ pair working
