Start each day with 10 minutes of mindful music and relaxation.
Use daily affirmations with students (I am brave, I can do hard things, curiosity is my power).
Get to know your student's interests by asking them questions and having talk time. Both as a whole group, and in small breakout groups.
Have movement breaks throughout the day, dance, do yoga together, get the heart rate up!
Practice some mindful breathing together.
Laugh together, share jokes, and riddles.
Have some fun Jamboards ready to go (Would you rather, this or that) to fill time, and connect as a community (See HDSBtheSHIFT resources!)
