Google Classroom

Google Classroom is a Learning Management System... think of it as the container for virtual learning. This container be the landing place for asynchronous learning adding to 300 minutes of daily instruction.


Please note: Each student should only be in one Google Classroom which contains all their educators listed as teachers.

Google Meet

Google Meet is Google’s conferencing platform. The HDSB uses Google Meet for synchronous virtual learning. When used properly, it provides a high level of security for online learners.

Google Guardian

*This video helps you understand Google Guardian from the family perspective.*

Google Guardian is a companion program to Google Classroom which sends emails to families who have accepted the invitation sent by classroom. Provided you have the Google Guardian Summaries toggle on in Google Classroom's settings, Trillium populates the email on file automatically.
