25% of the school day is asynchronous learning - so think about where you might put that in any given lesson. Here are 3 examples where there is a mix of whole group discussion, facilitated learning, small group instruction, and asynchronous learning.

During asynchronous time - be clear about how a student might contact you (e.g., Google Chat) but it's AOK to have your camera off!

Start with an idea...

Post an independent activity in Google Classroom that has choice so that everyone has a point of access

Post it in the classroom - but add a something where they can be ready to share their thinking

Provide video instructions you made with screencastify *your voice and facial expressions provide helpful cues

Continue using good questions to elicit student thinking and design responsive lessons. You don't have to retype these questions if you have them as a PDF - change them into a graphic file and make them a background in a slide!
