Hi! this is Soham S. and this is about Uranus
This shows the insides of Uranus
Uranus got its name from a Greek god from the sky but the person who discovered it wanted to name it Georgium Sidus after King George III.
Uranus is the 7th planet away from the sun and it is also a ice giant. Uranus's diameter is the 3rd largest in the solar system. It was the first planet found with the aid of the telescope. Now what's the formation of this icy planet? So 4 billion years ago gravity pulled swirling gas and dust together then it made Uranus. Uranus could have been close to the Sun but it went to the outer solar system. The reason it's a ice giant is that most of Uranus's mass is made up of some hot, dense fluid of some icy materials and those are water, methane, and ammonia and those are above a small rocky core. Now a few short facts about Uranus: Uranus can not be held of any life if we know it - the temperatures & pressure on Uranus makes it too much insane for any life to be held there. Uranus has not as many moons as Jupiter and Saturn. Uranus only has 27 moons that we know at this moment of time. Also like Jupiter and Saturn, Uranus also has rings. There are only 13 known rings am not gonna go too deep into that. Only one spacecraft of any sort has gone to Uranus and that's just Voyager 2. Now for Uranus's Structure! The core heats up to 9000 degrees Fahrenheit, Uranus's Diameter is just a bit bigger than Neptune's but still smaller in the mass part. It's just the second least dense planet (first is Saturn). Uranus's color come from the methane gas in the atmosphere. Now for orbit. Uranus days take only 17 hours and it orbits the Sun every 84 Earth years, some people might not even live that long! 2033 will be the day it will orbit again. It was discovered it in 1781 by William Herschel. Uranus is 1 of 2 planets that rotates in the opposite direction of other planets (2nd is Venus). No more orbit - now some other facts. Uranus has a ''Magnetosphere''. But it is very unusual and not a regular Magnetosphere shape. Uranus's magnetic field is tipped over! Now for Uranus's Atmosphere! The atmosphere is made up mostly of hydrogen and helium and not a lot of methane. It could be water & ammonia. Voyager 2 saw a great dark spot on Uranus. It is a vortex that is about 1,100 to 1,900 Miles of Uranus - that's 2/3 of the United States! (No more atmosphere stuff now). Every 17 hours and 14 mins on Uranus (A Uranus day) Uranus turns on its axis every day. And that's all for the facts!
This picture shows Uranus's Dark Spot.
Uranus is the second least dense planet
In the solar system Uranus is the coldest planet
Uranus orbits the Sun on its side
Atmosphere contains ''ices''
You can see Uranus with a unaided eye
Winds speed can go up to 900km per hour
There is Dimond rain on Uranus
The color of Uranus's rings is a bright blue color
