A picture of trans-Neptunian objects. Varuna is one of them.
Hi this is Bevaan R. and I will share information about Varuna, a large trans-Neptunian object in the Kuiper belt. It is a large trans-Neptunian object in the Kuiper belt. It was discovered in December 2000 by American astronomer Robert McMillan during a Space-watch survey at the Kitt Peak National Observatory. Varuna has an orbital period of 279 years. Varuna has a mean diameter of ~678 km (calculated); 654+154; −102 km; 668+154; −86 km. It has an asteroid number of 20000. Varuna has an average orbital speed of 4.53 km/s. Varuna has a mean density of 0.992+0.086; −0.015 g/cm3.
A real picture of Varuna. You can't see it clearly, but scientists know what it looks like.
Fun facts
•Varuna is 1/4 the size of the Moon
•It is actually a unofficial dwarf planet
•Varuna, in the Vedic phase of Hindu mythology, the god-sovereign, the personification of divine authority
•Varuna is 207.54 miles
•Varuna's color is moderately red
•Varuna's light curve is compatible with the body being a Jacobi ellipsoid
