Quaoar was discovered in June 4th 2002 by Chad Trujillo and Michael Brown at the Palomar Observatory. But Quaoar was announced on 7th of October in 2002. Quaoar is located in the Kuiper Belt beyond Neptune. Quaoar is named after a creation god of the Native American Tongva tribe. Quaoar is a Trans-Neptunian Object it orbits at a distance of 30x the distance to the Earth to the Sun and that is 43.7 AU and about 4.06 miles and it is coming to the Sun at 0.035 AU per year. The magnitude of Quaoar is about 2.51 (Magnitude means the brightness of the object). It takes under 289 years to complete a orbit around the Sun at least not as much as Sedna. A rotation on Quaoar is 17.68 (Earth) hours. It has about a -220 temperature but its Mean is -44K! It has a density of around 2.2 g/cm³ and about a size of 1,120 km (697 Miles)
