A picture of Gonggong's orbit, you can see it is pretty far, but not as far as the others.
Hi this is Bevaan R. and I will share information about Gonggong, the first major body in the Solar System with a Chinese name. It has an orbital period of 554 years. Gonggong was discovered in July 17, 2007 by Megan Schwamb, Michael E. Brown, and David L. Rabinowitz. Gonggong is a member of the scattered disc beyond Neptune. It has a highly eccentric and inclined orbit during which it ranges from 34–101 astronomical units from the Sun. As of 2019, its distance from the Sun is 88 AU, and it is the sixth-farthest known Solar System object. It has a diameter of approximately 1,230 km, and a mean radius of 615±25 km.
Gonggong is named after Gonggong (/ˈɡɒŋɡɒŋ/), the Chinese water god who is depicted in Chinese mythology and folktales as having a copper human head with an iron forehead, red hair, and the body of a serpent, or sometimes the head and torso are human, with the tail of a serpent.

•Gonggong is red, likely because of the presence of organic compounds
•It was called 2007 OR10 when it was first discovered
