Pluto's Surface.
Hi this is Soham S. and this page is about Pluto! Pluto is a ''Dwarf Planet.'' For short it means, it lacks the criteria of a normal planet. Pluto was discovered on Feb 18, 1930. A day on Pluto is about 153 hours and a year on Pluto is 248 Earth years. Pluto has a radius of 715 miles, that is about 1,151 kilometers. Pluto's name came from the Roman god of the underworld. Pluto was classified as a planet before 2006 when it turned into a dwarf planet. Pluto cannot have life on it's surface, but it could have some life beneath its frozen shell.
This is Hydra, one of the moons. It looks very weird, but its still is a moon.
Pluto has a total of 5 moons that have been found and those are: Charon, Nix, Hydra, Kerberos, and Styx. Charon is the biggest of the 5 it is half of Pluto's size. The other 4 moons don't exactly look like a sphere - they are very irregularly shapes.
Pluto is the largest dwarf planet, not the widest though
About one third of Pluto is water
Pluto is smaller than some moons (like earth's moon)
Pluto has only been seen by one spacecraft
Pluto kinda has an atmosphere.
Disney's Pluto, the dog, was named after the former planet Pluto
An 11 year old girl named the dwarf planet Pluto
Pluto has a heart shape on its surface
