Makemake was named after the Rapanui god of fertility. Makemake is located in the Kuiper Belt like some of the other dwarf planets. Makemake is the 2nd brightest when seen from Earth.(Pluto is 1st). The planet was very important to classify the meaning of ''Dwarf Planets.'' It was first observed/discovered at the Palomar Observatory March 2005 and it was named ''Easter Bunny'' for a code name at first. Makemake could not have any life in any way. This planet has a provisional moon (meaning it begins with a letter and a year). The code name is MK 2 and it is about 13,000 miles away from Makemake. The planet takes 305 Earth years to orbit around the Sun. It completes a rotation every 22.5 Hours (on Earth). The atmosphere is likely made of nitrogen. There is a lot not known about Makemake, and there is still stuff waiting to be discovered.
