Buy at the bottom of a range (support/floor)
Sell at the top (ceiling)
Enter on a strong conviction candle breaking support and resistance
Look for institutional buying
Look for new areas of support (see VCP) within the range
Remember, many people take profits after a 20-30% breakout; be one of them
Determine your reentry points based upon new levels of support/resistance or institutional buying (consolidation, price action, and volume)
Enter after a confirmed candlestick pattern
Close above previous candle (bullish)
Close below previous candle (bearish)
Sorry about the emergency vehicles in the background
One of my Favorite Reversal Pattern
This is by far my favorite pattern to identify reversals in downtrends or uptrends
This can be applied at any timeframe, but larger time frames will have greater movements
utilizes the concept of breakout and retest to get the best move
Enter after a breakout and retest (full retracement of breakout) and resistance now acts as support
Enter when price action is near the moving average line and shows momentum in your desired direction
Use the 8/21MA range as an area to enter
Great video that looks to find confluence with other indicators or price action to make your entries
Remember, we are not looking for the first move, we want confirmation and retest to prove it is going in our direction first
Remember
People will begin profit taking around a 20-30% move in a security if not sooner on a security that reaches ATH
Pullbacks, aka profit taking, are healthy moves that can be anywhere from 10-15% from the height of the move
These offer you the best risk:reward for entry
Think About It: 4 Entry Types
Create a PowerPoint Presentation to Identify all 4 Entry Types
Take screenshots of the 4 Entry Types and add to slides
Use drawing tools to identify Entry, Exits, and any other descriptors to help us understand
Range/Consolidation - highs and lows
Breakout - breakout points, identify more green than red days, higher institutional buying
Reversals - entry, exit, resistance
Pullbacks - where is our entry and exit, what is the resistance/support
