Geology is the scientific study of the Earth, its structure, evolution and dynamics. In Geology you will:

- Investigate elements, minerals and rocks and the rock cycle

- Build on your science GCSE to develop a clear understanding of earth materials and natural resources

- Develop and use problem solving and mathematical skills linked to engineering, mining, hazard management and climate change

- Develop your practical and fieldwork skills to resolve geological issues which contribute to the success of the economy and society
