Planning Questions
Are you working by yourself or in a team?
I am working by myself, but it's a competition between us, Dennon, Gauge, and me
What materials will you need for your project?
Cardboard, plastic bags, tit foil, paper, hot glue, tape, iPad, internet
What is your plan to create in this project?
I am doing an egg drop competition with Dennon and gauge
What unique qualities will your project have?
It will not break this time
Today I did the usual, do the 10 good ideas and planning questions. we all did our ideas and we all think we're gonna win. I made a spring system to absorb the impact.
I added flaps, removed the spring, and plan to buy a fitted sheet for a parachute. Either that or good ol' Wally World bags. I added braces to the flaps to hold them in place, the picture is blurry because these are the test drops. I didn't take pictures of any of the models in there still state.
I added a big flap and removed the original flaps for a square-like design. my design worked the best so far. gauge is copying Dennon's pivoting parachute idea and Dennon is making something new.
I brought my paper bags from home for the parachute, used alligator clips to connect them, re-added the original 4 square design, and then tested them. Mine obviously worked the best, so we test tomorrow
Dennon quickly added a trash bag, and we did our drop. all three of ours worked, and we plan to go home, cook them, and eat them for the movie... if we can remember to.
I got horribly sick with some weird stomach virus and I wasn't able to work on any work today. I am writing this at home right now, but i will do everything else to finish this project whenever i get back to school.
If you want to see all the tests, they are down below

Here are all the tests with me in it, all the missing tests (Tests where i am not in) are up above in my friends' websites.
Using cardboard, Walmart bags, duct tape, and hot glue, I created a successful egg drop capsule because i needed to redeem my self from last time, and i couldn't live with myself if i never got to retry it again.
During this process, I learned parachute physics, i looked up multiple formulas, tips, history, and learned how and why they worked.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to innovative designer because i used science to solve the scientific problem of the egg drop experiment, whatever the problem was.
A challenge I overcame on this project was weight and downward force. I was able to do it by making the flaps connected and one piece as well as making it slightly heavier in the bottom.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the promise to cook the egg. The reason why I would change it is because i didn't get to because i was sick.
