Day 1

I did the 10 good things and planning questions. Honestly, I ran out of coffee so I'm super tired today. I will be productive tomorrow, i promise. we just spent the rest of the day makings scripts

Day 2

Today we are going right to making scripts, we don't want to waste time with dilly dallying.

So i went to take a screenshot today for today's picture and they blocked the snipping tool... WHAT?! why would they do that?? are they thinking we are messing around with a screenshot tool meant for class?? i don't even understand circuit, why they needed to block that. BUT THE SCREENSHOT TOOL? this is outrageous, they even wont let us open up the search bar, obs (a screen recording software), climcamp (a video editing software), or the startup menu (to log out and shut down the computer). Someone needs to fix this. Why would they do this.

Thankfully you can take a screenshot with hotkeys and then edit it in the photo's app. BUT STILL.

I JUST CHECKED, THEY BLOCKED THAT TOO. WHAT THE (pardon my language) HECK. I'm going straight to the office, this is absurd.

Day 3

I fixed my PC and we spent today scripting and filming. we are doing the same tommorow too

Day4 (Today)

Yup, we are working hard. we focused more on filming though. We are almost ready to publish the video and finish the project but we need a couple more days.

Day 5

Dennon calls today "Production Day" and he keeps complaining about it. We added some credits to the end. Its just editing, we have to finish cutting out bloopers and putting them at the end tommorow.

Day 6

Apparently, we are not putting the bloopers at the end. we are just uploading it today. I will work on the reflection and turn it in a day early since Me and Gauge can't work without Dennon to make this project longer.

Reflection

Using several microphones, lighting, and recording equipment, I created a pilot for a new podcast because we wanted to see how we would film, run, and record this if we did it. During this process, I learned having two different cuts is very beneficial. The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project is tied to Creative Comuticator because, as stated by the Michigan Department of Education, "Creative Communicators are students who communicate clearly and express themselves creatively for a variety of purposes using the platforms, tools, styles, formats and digital media appropriate to their goals. A challenge I overcame on this project was separating the audio from the video so there is a listening portion and a visible portion. I was able to do it by getting two iPads to record to microphones, one for video and one for audio. Given a chance to do this again, I would change the title. The reason why I would change it is because we couldn't come up with anything else that's creative and it seems childish and kind of cringe. Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing. My project connects to the Digital Multimedia CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in Podcast Hosting and Producing.
