I am working on a team with Warren, And Joshua.
We will need cardboard, duct tape, scissors, hot glue guns and sticks, and tin foil.
We plan to make a dinosaur because this will give our project a lead in creativity.
Our project will be unique because it will be the first( probably ).
Daily Log
Day 1-I did planning questions and 10 good ideas. We also picked team members and watched Caine's arcade. Our team members are Weston, Josh, And warren.
Day 2- We started planning and making our Rat, my job is to work on the mouth.
Day-3 We continued the now dinosaur after writing a letter to our co-workers, mouth is tinfoil, i made eyes and a head stand.
Day-4 We decided its a dragon and gave it wings, i also burned my hand. Next week we plan to make it look better. there is a new head stand.
Day-5 Weston (ME) was absent for half of the hour. The finishing touches will be done tomorrow.
Day-6 Surprise we got an extra day. We fished the final touches and stared the video. It will be done tomorrow.
Day-7 Last day, we are making the video and finishing the website. This project was fun.
Using cardboard, duct tape, and tinfoil, I created a Trojan dragon because it is original and a clever twist. it has a cardboard tail that was fit together with duct tape. it also has a head and wings made of cardboard wrapped in tinfoil.
During this process, I learned be careful with the hot glue and use all the materials given, don't waste any. I also learned to use stabilizers, like stands, to hold up parts. another thing I learned is you can use flexible materials to hold something back.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Inovative designer because I have made something new and unique. Rather than just shoes in wich, there are 2 of.
A challenge I overcame on this project was making the head stand up. I was able to do it by taping to pieces of cardboard together and hot gluing it in place. This is another way to show a stabilizer. I also had a challenge of shaping tin foil, the trick is to shape the cardboard and then use tinfoil.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the feet. The reason why I would change it is because they look like wooden stubs but i should have made them longer and attach them to wheels. I also wanted to tape the tail to make it not look like cardboard.
