8P9 - Releasing next Tuesday, Meanwhile check out 8P7!
Daily Log
Day 1
My partners(Konner and Brennen) tested out the sphero mini while I was absent
Day 2
Again while i was absent, amazing partners tested the dash robot. As you can see, it didn't go so well.
Day 3
I finally was not absent and helped with the coding. We finished the dash robot catapult and it looks pretty good.
Day 4
We programed the i robot and spelt out iiL which was supposed to be ILL but i forgot how to spell. I also finished the Sphero mini
Day 5
I started catching up on the website portion of the project, after i finished that i started making a complete video.
Day 6
I started making a complete video for the prodject
Day 7
After being told i did the dash robot wrong. (Which isn't my fault an I'm totally not salty about) i redone the dash robot
Day 8
The complete video is finished. Get 50% off if you use starcode "AJoke"
Day 9
Today i wrote the reflection, List of ten good ideas, and published.
Planning Questions
I am working with Konner and Brennen.
I will need software with blocky
I plan to make a big lego arm so that you can do robot boxing.
My project will be unique because i will make the first-ever dash boxing.
List of 10 good ideas
Lego boxing
care package
Dash waitress
Dash Drag Race
Ramping dash
Break dancing mini
Dash bumpers
Sphero mini DDR
Tire catching Dash
Perfect squares with I robot ross
Using The Blocky Software, I created a robot tire launcher to test a electric catapult with the Blocky software. I also used an iRobot to draw on a white board. The last thing i did was make the sphero mini move in a square movement.
During this process, I learned How to code with the blocky software. i also learned to code with the sphero Edu software. the last thing I learned to do is how to code an iRobot.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Knowledge Constructer because i took the Knowledge of coding with the Micro:bit and coded with other softwires.
A challenge I overcame on this project was making Dash throw the tire far enough so it don't just look like he dropped it. I was able to do it by coding the robot to go backwards then drop it backwards. Another part that was difficult was keeping the tire in place until he threw it. I was able to do it by placing a very loose block in front of the tire so when the robot threw it it dropped. ( It wasn't caught in video because we forgot to install it.)
Given a chance to do this again, I would do the extra 20%. The reason why I would change it is because i could have but it took me one day to figure out how to make the video. I also would have made a more complex shape than a square.
