Planning questions...
Are you working by yourself or in a team?
I am technically working with a team, but it's another competition
What materials will you need for your project?
Ipad, Dash robot, and legos
What is your plan to create in this project?
Have you heard of the game chicken? its a game to play in the pool where someone gets on your shoulders and tries to push the other person off. well its the same thing but its with robots trying to nock of legos
What unique qualities will your project have?
have you ever seen robots play chicken?
Today I did the usual, do the 10 good ideas and planning questions. we barley started because we had so little time, i nicknamed mine George.
We added some more drafts to our designs. I added a platform and two extensions to "peacefully disarm" the opponent. and tomorrow the official fight will begin
I quickly added a few more things, such as a little car that catches the opponents and stops them. Tomorrow we will make the video
Today we worked on the video and tomorrow we will work on the reflection. there isn't much we did today we kind of just had fun with the bots we made.
Today we are doing the reflection and turning in this project. Honestly, this project was for fun more than for school work and this week has been pretty bad for me. The next project will be interesting though.
Using Dash Robots and Lego, I made George into a 'Peaceful" robot because one, the other projects sounded boring, and two, it was a lot of fun to do a more laid-back project for this one. During this process, I learned the joy of saving power because I had to worry about it constantly. The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Creative Communicator because they share and communicate their original creations, we shared our creative ideas for winning the fight and put them onto, or on top of, our robots. A challenge I overcame on this project was getting the legos to stay together. I was able to do it by getting rid of the off-brand Lego in this project. Given a chance to do this again, I would change the outcome, my successful victory. The reason why I would change it is because I wanted an actual win, not one I won over pity.
