Day 1

Today I did a cool effect for the photo and did my 10 good ideas and planning questions. I have no idea what I am doing for this project but I think it's gonna be for a tabletop RPG group I'm making called AF4C (AltF4Ctrl+). Anyway, today I started the design from some ideas I had for it, I can't access my email through my school computer so I will have to do this from memory. It is a tech violation to sign in.

I started off with my T-shirt first, since I knew my size and I knew I was going to be in this group. This picture from Heavyweight Collections really helped with my dimensions(https://www.heavytshirt.com/shirt-size-guide/) My Math and Research Google Doc is in the link below for any who are interested.

Day 2

I went right to work on the math of the circle, maybe i will be using this stuff in real life. its 9 inches in diameter, and 4.5 inches in both directions form the "Center" of the shirt. now i need to come up with ideas for the logo, my old one doesn't look very good. i thought of some ideas, the first one thing that came to mind was a globe like pattern with AF4C in the middle so i tried it out. it didn't fit well and it wasn't easy with circuits complicated system.

My next try was a ring of circles in a circle with a smaller circle in the middle to symbolize a group around a table. it turned out well. i spent some time trying out something else but it failed.

I setled with the design above, its suposed to resemble inclusivness no matter your race, gender, or sexuality around one table having fun together.

Day 3

So the project didn't save so i have to redo it, its good i have a reference picture though. I figured i should start recording this process too. i quickly re did it and then started on the medium t shirt, i am thinking it may be too small though. tomorrow i will do some measurement to make sure the ratio is fine.

Day 5

The circuit app was banned on my computer which is super fun, we got a lecture today about phones and locker rooms and I'm thinking something went down. I am going to print the large tomorrow so i can have something so I don't feel like these are just ideas and that this time could have been used for something

Day 6

Today i am going to figure out how to print it today, Dennon has been struggling but maybe i can figure it out. Im thinking i need an extra day sense me and dennon have to use the only one and i still have half to do.

Day 4

I'm really starting to understand the meaning of saving. i forgot to save again so that's fun. after finally getting both done and saving, its time to work on the small size.

After finishing the final size of the trio, I'm thinking i could add two more accessible variations too. youth large and X-large.

Day 7

I Finished and printed my large design, i have to hurry today because i also have to make my video and reflection so that's fun.

Currently there is an issue with my iPad so i cant upload much and i cant open the startup menu on the PC so i cant access any videos or make any. All i have is the couple i recorded on here but its unedited because my editing software is inaccessible due to the start screen being locked.

Now those few videos are to large and wont let me upload them. So i do not have any video for this project. I'm just gonna go to the reflection and hope i don't fail this project, but checking the rubric, this only garentees me a a 60% on my final grade.

Reflection

Using the Cricut Explore 3 machine and the Cricut design spaces, I created a giant sticker for a T-shirt because I wanted to make a logo for a TTRPG group I am making. During this process, I learned how to use circuits, the importance of saving progress, and always plan ahead. The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Creative Communicator because I used the internet to share my original ideas and creations with the world. A challenge I overcame on this project was Inserting the vinyl into the machine to be cut. I was able to do it by asking for help and figuring out I needed a mat. Given a chance to do this again, I would change the video on this project. The reason why I would change it is because I don't have one, I couldn't even access the editor to make one. Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing. My project connects to the Digital Multimedia CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in logo and t-shirt design.
