Planning Questions
I am working by myself.
I will need a Micro:bit, the Micro:bit website, and maybe cardboard and tinfoil.
My plan is to make a Micro:bit therapist.
My project will be unique because I don't think anyone in class has done it.
Daily log
Day 1-Mr. Renner told us on when our grades arrive and what our new project is. Then we looked up 10 good ideas for our Micro:bit and put our planning questions on our website.
Day2- Today we started our Micro:bit project and I finished the name tag. YES
Day3 - i have decide to make a Micro:bit Therapist, it only is a proto type but it works.
Day-4 I made a finished Micro:bit Therapist.
Day-5 I made another project that is called "sour patch cam"
Day-6 The I-pads would not record so we are stuck with pictures. Today i am also working on my reflection.
Day-7 I am finishing the reflection and turning this in.
WESTON
Fun Fact: other name tags would slide with a simpler block but i decided to make it flash with a more complex block.
Using Micro: bits and the website for Micro: bits, I created a Name tag because i needed a starting point for basic coding. I Also made a Micro:bit Therapist to help you emotionally. The final project I made was a sociological horror short story. This project was a lot of fun.
During this process, I learned how to flash things to the micro bit. I also learned about building code using blocks. The last thing I learned is to take things from my computer onto a device.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer because I came into this project knowing little to nothing about coding, and came out knowing more.
A challenge I overcame on this project was Filming the making process. I was able to do it by taking screen shots instead. i also had trouble timing the lights, all i had to do is put a pause block .The final challenge i overcame overwriting micro bit scripts left on the micro bits, this is solvable by copying the script and then placing it above the other script.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the making process by filming videos. The reason why I would change it is because The project would be more professional this way. i also would like to build a more efficient way to make my name tag but keep it different from the rest.
