8P5-Stop Motion

Using iMotion, my iPad, iMovie, sticky notes, and cardboard I created a stop-motion video of the Google Snake game but with sticky notes. I did this because it would be a fun and educational idea. I also had fun in 7th grade making the stop motion video so I wanted to do it again.

During this process, I learned how to make better stop motion videos. I learned to make smaller movements to make it look more smooth. I also learned that taking stop motion videos takes a lot of pictures. To make a long video I needed to take a lot of pictures.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Knowledge Constructor. It ties to knowledge constructor because I had some knowledge of stop motion at the beginning, but I watched some videos that helped me to understand how to do it more. I also looked at some 8th grade projects that people did and that helped me as well. By the end, I knew a lot more about stop motion and how it works.

A challenge I overcame on this project was getting the sticky notes. I took a few days for us to buy them. This put us back on the time and we had to go faster to make up time.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change one of the shots. The reason I would change it is because it was blurry. It is not that big of a deal but it would be better if I fixed it.
