8P1-Video

Using iMovie, I created a video about how I changed from last year to this year. I created this video because I wanted to show how I changed. It showed how I got better from this year to last year.

During this process, I learned how to iMovie to make a video that is 30 seconds long. I used transitions and titles to make this video. I also used sound effects, music, and a voice over.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Digital Citizen. It ties to this standard because I used copyright free images and used safe behavior with technology.

A A challenge I overcame on this project was figuring out how to move sound effects and soundtracks. I was able to do overcome it by asking a classmate for help. Another challenge I overcame was learning how to put my video into my website. I was able to overcome that challenge by watching videos that Mr. Renner posted.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change the length of the video. The reason why I would change it is because it is only like 30 seconds. I could make it more detailed and it would be better.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the Digital Multimedia CTE program at Hastings High School.  My project connects to careers in video editing because they edit videos, add special effects, and music like I did in my project. Another career that my project connects with is Digital Media Photographer because they use pictures to tell a story like how I used pictures in my project to show how I changed.
