Planning Questions
Are you working by yourself or in a team?
For this project I will be working by myself.
What materials will you need for your project?
For this project I will need a micro bit, monitor, and the internet.
What is your plan to create in this project?
My plan is to create original micro bit projects.
What unique qualities will your project have?
I will use my own name or way of programming, so it will look unique or original.
I did my planning questions and my list of ten good ideas.
I programmed my name on a micro bit and started working on coin flip.
Day 3
I made a coin flip game on Micro bit.
I did a rock paper scissors game.
I programmed my love meter and made a video of it.
I programmed a space invaders game.
I worked on my sentence starters and finished my project.
Using a micro: bit and make code editor I created my name programmed on the micro bit because it was a good easy project to start with. Then I made a coin flip game because I was a little bit harder. Finally I made a space invaders game because it was to hardest one to do and was a fun game to play on it.
During this process, I learned how to program micro bit. I also learned how to use block coding. Finally I learned how to use micro bits and how to play them.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer because I designed an innovative micro bit project. I also ties to Creative Communicator because I created a creative new project.
A challenge I overcame on this project was learning how to use the blocks in the make code editor. I didn't know what some of them meant or what they did. I was able to do it by watching a video on how to do it.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the love meter and make a different button to press. The reason why I would change it is because I takes a lot of pressure to make it show your number. Also, it is finicky sometimes.
