7P8-VR

Using Cospaces, a computer, an iPad, a VR headset, and an iPod  I created a VR maze. I created it because it would be fun to try the maze out. I would also be fun to make and have fun with.

During this process, I learned how to code a VR world in cospaces. I made it so that when you collide with animals you would restart to the beginning of the maze. I also made it so animals ran after you and that feature made the maze more difficult. I also created an item at the end that you click on and it teleports you to a new scene that says that you have completed the maze.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer because I used a process to make and plan what I was going to make and how to make it. I also looked at past student work to learn how to code and come up with ideas.

A challenge I overcame on this project was learning how to code because I have never coded before. I was able to do it by trial and error. I also looked at other classmates and how they were able to code.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change the Santa in the dead end. The reason why I would change it is because it just disappears, but I wanted it to slowly disappear. To fix it think I would have to put pauses in between the opacity change.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the Computer Programming CTE program at Hastings High School. It connects to this program because I made code in my VR world.  My project connects to careers in Software Engineering and Programming Engineering.
