Using cardboard, hot glue, iPad and a computer, I created a video of a truck and trailer.  I created this because I thought it would be cool to put on display on my dresser. We did the trailer because we got done with the truck a little quicker than anticipated so we thought it would be a cool addition

During this process, I learned even if it did not work the first time, to keep trying new ways until it works. I also learned that you have to have good communication with your group, to get a good turn out. Last don't take shortcuts it won't turn out every time so do it right the first time so you don't have to do it twice. 

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator.  My project ties to Empowered Learner because I set little goals to accomplish a bigger goal. I did this by saying this should be done by this day and tried my best to stick to it. I also had to stay engaged in the learning process to understand where we were at all the time so I knew what needed to be done still.

A challenge I overcame on this project was staying focused. I was able to do it by telling my friends to stop bugging me or else I would smack them. Another challenge I overcame was disagreeing with my partner. We were able to combat this issue by playing rock, paper, scissors, shout for who got to make the decision.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change the amount of detail in the truck, because my partner won in rock, paper, scissors, he decided to do a trailer over adding detail. The reason why I would change it is because the truck looked a little bare and I thought it would have been nicer. Also because I didn't think we had enough time for a trailer.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the engineering and design  CTE program at Hastings High School. It connects by the part were my group designed it then engineered it.

My project connects to careers in engineering and design because me and my group had to sketch it and work on designing it. second I had to bring that idea to life and engineer it to make it. For example I could be and architect, graphic designer or even a game designer. In conclusion there are a lot of possibilities for me if I want to continue engineering and design.
