7p1 1.movUsing an I-pad and a computer, I created a all about me video because I wanted people to learn more about me and my interests. I also wanted to make something to reflect on when i get older as a sort of time capsule. The last reason is that to show my parents the potential of technology in this day and age.
During this process, I learned how to do many. Such as I-movie to make a video about me. I also learned how to be a good digital citizen by using non copyrighted pictures for my video.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to digital citizens because it taught me to use creative commons licensed pictures. It also taught me the impact of my actions and i made a positive impact by making this website and showing it to the world to learn about me.
A challenge I overcame on this project was putting the video on the website. I was able to do it by asking my classmate how to so it and she helped me show it on the website. If that did not work I could also asked my teacher for the help I needed to show the video.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the amount of pictures and made more of voice over to the video. The reason why I would change it is because the individual images were shown to long. Second, I wanted a longer voice over because it was just kind of bland and I think a voice over would make it better.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing. My project connects to the digital multimedia CTE program at Hastings High School.
My project connects to careers in digital because I already learned how to teach people a lot about me through a video with pictures and audio. It also connects because it is just like social media. The all about me video is almost exactly like what you would find on youtube, it has audio pictures and sound. That is why it connects to digital multi media
