Daily Log:
Day 1: I did my list of ten and the planning questions
Day 2: I got some photos added to my movie and added sound effects
Day 3: I added the last photo to my video and the rest of the sound effects then added my voice-over
Day 4: I finished my video and added it to my site
Day 5: I'm already done
Day 6: I'm done
Using I-movie, I created a video about how I've changed since last year because I wanted to compare the differences in the first video I made. I saw many differences in how the video was made completely. I didn't actually do what I was supposed to at all the first time I did the project. This time I made what I was supposed to.
During this process, I learned that I could use Facebook on the iPad. This helped me to complete my project as I could use images that weren't on the web. If I hadn't found out I could use Facebook iPad.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Digital Citizen because I had to use copy-right free images. And I had to make sure I wasn't plagiarizing others' work.
A challenge I overcame on this project was finding pictures that weren't copyrighted. I was able to do it by searching for a long time and searching on Facebook. If I hadn't had patience I would not have been able to get my video done as quickly as I did.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change how confident I sounded talking in the video. The reason why I would change it is because I sounded down. If someone else watches it they would not believe I wanted to do the project and may not look forward to doing the project themselves.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing. My project connects to the digital multimedia CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in content creators who make videos for others to watch.
