Day 1. My group and I started the project and built testing tracks.
Day 2. We built new tracks and filmed videos and took photos.
Day 3. We rebuilt a new track and came up with better ideas.
Day 4. We finished the final track and took videos
Day 5. I took the video and edited it to have a green screen effect.
In this project I am working in a group of 5. I will need hot wheels track, cars, and holder clips. The plan to create in this project is a track that will deliver a car into a different part of the room with a cool jump at the end. The unique qualities my project will have is the different ramps and adjustments the track has to deliver the car.
Using hot wheels tracks, clips, and hot wheels cars. I created a track that delivered a car into a different room. I did this because this made a cool feature of the track.
During this process, I learned about angles, laws of motion, and different speeds. I needed to learn these different things because all of these factors affected how the car traveled down the track. Trial and error was also very important in figuring out how to move the car on the track.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Computational Thinker. My project connects to this because my group used technologies like clips and different styles of track to make the car deliver to the other room..
A challenge I overcame on this project was how fast the car came down the big ramp turning into the room. I was able to do it by changing the angle and speed at which it comes in. This made the car slower and more controlled
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the length of the track. The reason why I would change it, is that I think it would make a cooler track. I would also like to incorporate a different ending for the track.

My project connects to the construction trades CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in road design and roller coaster design.
