To the left is a video of the rules to Flick Football. The rules are, you get 2 try's, if you make the football in the goal in the 2 tries you get 2 tickets.
To the left is a successful game of Flick Football. In the video Braden will demonstrate a full successful game. The video shows him flicking the cardboard football into the goal, then he grabs a ticket from the bottom.
Our group attempted the Cardboard Challenge. During the challenge, we used cardboard, special cutting scissors, hot glue, and paper. We got the idea from Brayden and Hunters love for football.
During this process I learned how to design/shape items such as cardboard. The reason I did this is to fit the cardboard together in ways that help the structure be supported. Also during this project I learned how to hot glue stuff together so they would be more supported and would stick together.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project fits in within innovative designer. My project fits in with innovative designer because we used many different technologies to make our project.
A challenge I faced during this project was the level of the platform on the football field. I overcame this challenge by putting cardboard sheets underneath so it wasn't so curved upright. Another challenged I faced while making this project was getting the right cardboard shapes from the box. I solved this by cutting the cardboard with scissors and other cardboard cutting tools.
Given a chance to do this project again, something I would do different is have a good first layout of our project. I would do this so everything comes together more smoothly. For example what I would change it the basic box making the whole ground and walls, I would cut them more carefully so we wouldn't make a mistake and have to start over.
