- Using Micro: bit, I created a line of L.E,Ds moving like a snake game because at first I wanted at first was to make a snake game with the A and B buttons, but then I realized that would be a lot harder to do since I'm not used to that type of coder. So to make a solution I just made the lights display like a snake game that you can't control.
- During this process, I learned how to program/code a Micro: Bit to display the lights on the board. I also learned how to download code from the computer to the Micro: Bit.
- The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Creative Communicator because I used the Micro: Bit to show or communicate a design.
- A challenge I overcame on this project was the coding. I was able to do it by looking over my options of the code blocks, I realized that i could just show the Led light instead moving them as one sprite.
- Given a chance to do this again, I would change the function of the outcome. The reason why I would change it is because i would make it a real game instead of just a design.
- Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in architecture, designing, and art design.
