Planning Questions
Am I working by myself or in a team?
By myself
What materials will I need for my project?
Cospaces.com, computer
What is my plan to create in this project?
Trivia game but if you get the question wrong, you die.
What unique qualities will my project have?
A super fun experience
Day 1
On day one, I made a chasing enemy in my world.
Day 2
For day two, I finished the first and the second trivia questions. I also coded the rats.
Day 3
On day three, I had someone play my game and give me ideas for the next in game round of trivia.
Day 4
On day four, I completely finished my game of Trivia. I also had soemone play it to make sure all the coding worked and to get feedback.
Day 5
On day six, I recorded the video of my game. I also wrote a lot of the reflection.
Trivia game with seven questions.
Using cospaces.com, I created a cool trivia game. This trivia game consisted of seven different questions about different topics. These topic are, Transformers, Dynasties, Animals, and Fast and Furious. The last question, if you get it right, has a nice calm area filled with animals and it says "Congrats you won trivia."
During the process of making the trivia game, I learned how to make a moving enemy in Cospaces. You do this by coding the enemy to look at the camera (you), and move 1 meters forward every second. Then, you code it so that when the camera colides with the enemy it teleports you to a different scene, in this case the scene was the losing scene. In my game, if you got the question wrong, an animal is in the room you walk in and it sends you to the losing scene. After you get to the losing scene you can teleport back tot eh first trivia question.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer. It ties to this because I created the designs all on my own, and I coded all the doors and animals by myself. I also combined different topics that have nothing to do with each other.
A challenge I overcame on this project was coding. When I made the enemies, I set the code at "camera(you) collides with (enemy #_) " for every enemy. For some reason this code only worked for the very last enemy. I kept trying to fix it but it didn't really work, so I tried a different code that finally worked.
Given a chance to do this project again, I would make more questions because that part was really fun. I would also make it so after you got a question wrong and had to restart it would just make you redo that question instead of that question and all the ones before it. I think that would be easy to do but it would just take a lot of time and be annoying so I decided not to because I was already trying to figure out how to code the enemies.
Hastings High School Carrier and Technical Education Program Offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing. My project connects to Engineering design because I made my design all on my own. My design was a multitude of random trivia questions that I came up with on my own. I engineered my design.
