Using a Cricut machine, Cricut website, and material, I created a sticker of a shark with two circles surrounding it.  Both the shark and the circles just a solid plain color.  I also tried making various other designs, like a car with a bat on it, and one with two flowers on it. I ended up not really liking either of them enough to make them into actual stickers, which is part of the reason I settled on a shark sticker. 

  During the process of making the sticker, I learned how to properly use the Cricut machine and use the Cricut website. During my learning, I made various designs of different things. Such as, a shark, a bat car (not the batmobile, no plagiarism), and numerous other designs. I learned how to not only make a design with the Cricut design space but I learned how to use the printer and make the deign into a real sticker.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner because I asked various people how to do my project and I used a couple of YouTube tutorials. 

  A challenge I overcame on this project was not knowing what design to make into a sticker.  I tried making  a star that I thought would look col, but I realized that it would be to hard to make because I wouldn't be able to pick out the pieces of the design that aren't apart of it. I also tried making a bat car but I really didn't like the final project, I thought it looked to cartoonish, so I finally landed on making a shark sticker. The sticker is for my brother for his birthday because he likes sharks and I don't feel like buying him something.

  Given a chance to do this project again, I would make a vinyl design for a shirt or a tote bag. I would probably put a cool design of flowers with like an abstract square thing in the background. Or, I would try to make a better looking sticker because mine was kind of boring and simple.

My project connects to Digital Multimedia because I made a design using the cricut website and I made it into a sticker. I used a digital program to make the real life sticker, so therefore my project connects to digital multimedia.
