by myself.

What is my plan to create in this project?
a bunch of things as many as I can.
What unique qualities will my project have?
I'm the only one in my class working alone.
Day 1-
working alone, I did the list of 10/planning questions and played cookie clicker with it.
day 2-
I made a controller and played the make-a-sketch app
day 3-
I used the controller again and made this amazing drawing with it
THE VIDEO
Using an iPad, Computer, Makey Makey, Playdoh, and makeymakey.com, I created a controller with one button on the space bar of the makey makey board. Then, I went to cookie clicker and used my controller button to play it. I got to 10 quadrillion cookies with it, and I totally didn't do the "__ says opensesame" cheat.
During the process of making the button, I learned to read instructions. Without the instructions I was completely lost, but once I read the instructions sheet in the makey makey box, I figured everything out. My friends were having trouble making it work because they forgot to put one of the clips on the "Earth" part of the board and hold the metal part.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to computational thinker because I used a computer and programmed a computer like thing, and It took my brain to do that. It also took my computer to do.
A challenge I overcame on this project was being absent the day my teacher gave me the instructions. I also missed picking a partner so I had to work alone on the project. Being absent made me miss directions so I had to figure it out on my own. Figuring it out on my own was pretty easy though, I just read the instructions for the Makey Makey and had my friend tell me what I needed to do.
Given a chance to do this project again, I would make a banana phone because it seems fun. Talking to a friend through a banana? That's cool. And I would try not to be absent most of the days we worked on the project. Not being absent would make me not miss a single thing and then I might even get the project done faster.

My project connects to computer programming because I programed the Makey Makey board.
