A cool design.
Day 1
On day one, I worked on my list of 10, and my planning questions. Then, somebody showed us how to use the embroidery machine.
Day 2
On day two, we tried threading the embroidery machine and we did it kept breaking on us. And just when we thought we got it right, the thread broke on us, again.
Day 3
On day three, Me and Sydney tried to thread the machine again but we couldn't. So we got Mrs. Lynette and we put "Sydney" on a piece of fabric to have some practice.
Day 4
We got more practice with the embroidery machine. We added a weird design to the same fabric we had stuff on before.
Day 5
On day five, Ms. Lynette came back and made sure we knew what we were doing. I worked on figuring out what I was gonna do.
Day 6
On day six I wrote part of my reflection. And I looked at some things to embroider onto my sweatshirt.
Day 7
On day seven I finished my project and I put two flowers on a shirt because I couldn't get the star to be big enough to fit where I wanted it to be.
As you can see, the design does not look how its supposed to. The hot pink outline is supposed to be off like how it is but the pink is supposed to be more full instead of you being able to see the sweatshirt through the thread. at the bottom of the photo, there is a whole in the sweatshirt, that is from the yellow accents messing up during the embroidering process, so we I had to cut the thread and I accidently cut my sweatshirt while doing so.
Using an embroidery machine, and a sweatshirt, I created a cool design of pink flower on a sweatshirt. This design was two pink and yellow flowers on the corner of a gray sweatshirt. The flowers were a pretty pink with a hot pink outline and a yellow center, with accent dots on the corners of the embroidered area.
During the process of embroidering the sweatshirt, I learned how to use the embroidery machine. I learned how to thread the machine correctly and I used my embroidering skills to embroider two pretty flowers onto a sweatshirt.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties Innovative Designer because I made a unique-ish design on my sweatshirt.
A challenge I overcame on this project was the thread on the machine kept breaking, so I had to rethread the machine a lot, which took up a lot of my time when I was trying to make my design. And another challenge with this project was at the same time I was learning how to embroider, Mya and Sydney were also trying to figure out how to use the machine to make their designs.
Given a chance to do this project again, I would embroider something else, like a piece of fabric I could use for a quilt. Or, I would probably make a pillow for my cousins new baby. Or, I would choose a different design and make a more complex design, by that I mean one that takes longer to embroider on the machine, instead of a plain and short one, like the one I did for this project.

My project connects to Engineering design because I learned how to use an embroidery machine to embroider a sweatshirt.
