Day 1
On day one, I made this better version of a guitar holder. I think its much better then last years failure.
Day 2
On day two, I made some more things but the highlight was me editing this version of the guitar holder.
Day 3
For day three, I decided to move the guitars onto the other sides because I thought it would be better.
Day 4
I finished my reflection and I got my projet printed over the weekend.
The holder before it was printed

The glow up video
Using Tinkercad, and a 3D printer, I created a updated version of the guitar pic holder that I made last year. For this year's holder, I decided to make the holding part more like a plate and less like a cup. Last year, I couldn't put a guitar pic in the holder, which defeats the entire purpose of it, because I made it way to small. So, I didn't want to have that issue again with this years holder so that it's actually usable. I also decided to put two guitars on the holder instead of one. This is just for the aesthetics of it but I thought that it would make it look much better.
During the process of making the guitar pic holder, I learned how to properly size things. As I stated before, last year's holder was way to small for an actual guitar pic. So, this year, I googled the dimensions of a guitar pic to make sure that it would be able to hold multiple guitar pics. I think that my main mistake on last year's holder was it not being able to actually hold a guitar pic. I think this is a major improvement from last year.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to knowledge constructor because I used google to make sure my design was big enough to hold multiple guitar pics. I used my knowledge of google to be able to get more knowledge about guitar pics. That's why my project ties to knowledge constructor.
A challenge I overcame on this project was creativity. As I already said like five times, last year, I also made a guitar pic holder. Last years was a failure, so I was determined to make a new one that actually worked. For this new one, I knew it have to actually fit a guitar pic, but I was lacking in how exactly I could make a usable and good looking holder. Which, I did make a usable holder, but it's very ugly.
Given a chance to do this project again, I would try to make a more interesting looking holder. I think this year's project is very practical, but it could look better. I do think that the looks isn't very important, but its just a little boring to look at. So, if I were to do this project again, I would make the base of the holder elevated. I would also add sides and a top to make my guitar holder more interesting.
Hastings High School Carrier and Technical Education Program Offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing. My project connects to engineering design because I engineered a guitar pic holder. I havent seen any guitar pic holders quite like mine. In fact, I didn't really see any guitar pic holders. In conclusion, I invented guitar pic holders. Or, I at least invented a guitar pic holder that is a plate basically.
