Day 1 i started making the piece's

Day 6 we put a board in the laser cutter

Day 7 We got the board back but we need to cut it

Reflection

• Using  Laser cutter and 3d printer , I created a chess board because we wanted to play a game of chess we a home made chess board. We also wanted to play with our own custom pieces. That is why we created a chess board.

• During this process, I learned how to make separate chess pieces in tinker cad. I also learned that the laser cutter leaves sut at the parts it cut. That is what I learned from this project.

  The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Creative communicator and global collaborator, My project ties to Creative communicator because I'm using videos and pictures to explain my project. My project ties to global collaborator because I'm putting my project online for everyone to see.

• A challenge I overcame on this project was making sure the pieces were all even and 1 inch. I was able to do it by setting all the pieces to one inch and lining up the pieces as much as possible. That a challenge a overcame.

• Given a chance to do this again, I would change making sure the knight pieces eye was set better. The reason why I would change it is because its uneven and looks really weird. That is something I would change.

•  Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the Engineering Design, CTE program at Hastings High School.  My project connects to careers in Engineering.
