What materials will you need for your project?

Plato, Aluminum foil, and a makey makey

What is your plan to create in this project?

We plan on using the arrow key and left click to play games and we will also make it play a keyboard

What unique qualities will your project have?

We will be using the aluminum foil controller and the Plato controller.

Daily log

Day 1 We made a aluminum foil controller that uses left click and used it to play geometry dash and flappy bird.

Day 2 We made a Plato controller where it uses the arrow keys and left click. We played the google snake game

Day 3 I was gone

Day 4 I've been fixing my Irobot project

Day 5 I was gone this day for spring break

Day 6 I'm learning how to use the piano and my computer died so I cant do that right now

Day 7 I finished the piano and starting on my reflection

• Using Makey makey, I created Video game controllers and a piano because I wanted to create a controller that worked for a game. I made a piano because I wanted to be able to make a song. The game controller were made with either paper, and Aluminum foil, paper and pencil lead, or Plato. The piano was made with paper and pencil

• During this process, I learned you can make a controller with a lot of different things. Like for instance in our project we used paper, pencil lead, aluminum foil, and Plato. The funniest one was probably the Plato as it was cool to be able to hit it then a certain game will work. 

• The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Global collaborator and creative communicator because my project ties to Global Collaborator because I'm putting everything online so people around the world can see it. Mine ties to creative communicator because I'm using pictures and videos to show my projects and what I'm doing.

• A challenge I overcame on this project was learning why the earth slot is super important. I was able to do it by watching videos on the Makey makey website on what kind of controllers they made and seeing they put it in the earth slot. another challenge I overcame is when my computer kept dying when I was trying to make the piano controller.

• Given a chance to do this again, I would change making sure my chrome book was charged before i came to class. The reason why I would change it is because it wasted a day since I couldn't work on the piano with out it as the other computers dont have speakers. another thing id do differently is not figuring out why earth is important instead of forgetting. 

• Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the Engineering and design CTE program at Hastings High School.  My project connects to careers in Mechanical Project Engineer . This projects connects to this job because you had to design certain controllers and wire them.
