day 1 we thought of an idea and make our sides
Day 2 we got a piece of cardboard and tried our first prototype it didn't work
Day 3 we tried putting the ground cable where the bottom part of the joy stick would hit it worked
Day 4 We made the joy stick for the cannon to move up and down
Day 5 We may the joystick for the person to walk
Day 6 We made our video and finished our sites.
Using a makey makey, cardboard, tinfoil, and wood, I created a controller for our game because we wanted to challenge our selves with making a custom thing with wiring. We also wanted to challenge ourselves with making the ground without having to press a different button. That is why we made a custom controller for our game.
During this process, I learned how to use the ground and normal cable so we didn't have to press 2 different buttons. Another thing we learned is how to make the actual joysticks. that is what I learned from making a controller
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Creative communicator and Global collaborator because this ties to creative communicator because I put videos and pictures to explain my project. This ties to Global collaborator because our project is online for the world to see.
A challenge I overcame on this project was making the ground cable work with the normal cable. I was able to do it by connecting the ground the the bottom of the joystick and the actual instruction cable to the side. That is a challenge we overcame on our project
Given a chance to do this again, I would change having a better plan. The reason why I would change it is because we re did this multiple times to finally make it work. That is something that we would change on our project.
