Using a monitor and tools, I created a mirror because allows people to see themselves and is a cheap alternative.

During this process, I learned how to repurpose a monitor, using different tools and some instructions online

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties these because because I'm an empowered learner, because I knew what I wanted to do, and I'm a digital citizen, because I did not directly copying anyone. I'm a knowledge constructor because I checked instructions to make sure I took it apart properly. I'm a innovative designer, because I made something original and I'm a computational thinking, because I used tech to find ideas, and how to make stuff.  I published, and the work is public, which also is why I'm a global collaborator.

A challenge I overcame on this project was not knowing what to do.  I was able to figure it out by asking for ideas and looking online

Given a chance to do this again, I would do something more circuit related, because I could make something more complex

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School.  My project connects to careers in repurposing and rebuilding, by taking apart and repurposing different items.
