Reflection
Using CoSpaces, a merge cube, and computers and iPad, I created a 6 sided story on the merge cube because it allowed me to get 3D design practice.
During this process, I learned how to used CoSpaces and augmented reality and how to use a merge cube to view your world.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties these because i'm an empowered learner, because I knew what I wanted to make, and I'm a digital citizen, because I did not directly copy anybody, I'm a knowledge constructor because I used videos and help menus on to make my cube world. I'm a innovative designer, because I made an original project, made by myself. I'm a computational thinking, because I used technology to design and model the merge cube. I uploaded all my work and design onto a public website, meaning I'm a global collaborator.
A challenge I overcame on this project was hardly any time. I was able to do it by working from home and doing all I can in class.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change my story. The reason why I would change it is because it was very last minute, and the simplest thing I could do given the time.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Digital Multimedia CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in 3D animation, and 3D modeling.
