Mrs. Quesada's Class
Week 6
Week 6
What a wonderful job our amazing 5th grade leaders did at chapel! We are so proud of each one of them for choosing how they would praise God and be a part of worship! Mrs. Banta and I loved seeing them use their gifts to honor God and be examples for students in the younger grades.
Our students will be MAPS testing in language arts this week, and making up any testing they need to finish. Encourage your 5th grader to do their best, so we can get an accurate perception of how to teach them skills this year!
Friday, September 18th is R.E.D. Friday at Hanford Christian! R.E.D. stands for Remembering Everyone Deployed, and wearing RED on a Friday helps us be mindful of the deployed and the sacrifices their families make. We have so many amazing military families at Hanford Christian, and we want to thank them and support them!
On September 18th, the entire school is invited to wear the color red to support and remember all people in the military who are deployed. Students will receive a spirit wear coupon for dressing in or wearing red (bandana, socks, pants, anything!).
Please be checking your emails from Mrs. Banta about the upcoming talent show! It is this Thursday, September 17th. The students have a final run through on Wednesday and Thursday of this next week. Please contact Mrs. Banta with any further questions about the talent show. Students are expected to be here that evening at 5:30 PM.
We are beginning our Unit 3 spelling words this week. This is a two week unit and the words will be tested on September 25th.
Vocabulary: We have new words this week. Please check in with your student each night and see if they have completed another section of their packet and/or studied their quizlet. The packet due date and the quiz on the definitions are on Friday, September 25th.

The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.
He will not always accuse, nor will He harbor His anger forever; He does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities.
Psalm 103:8-10
