Mrs. Quesada's Class
Week 13
Week 13
Mrs. Anker and I were grateful to have conferences with many of you this last week. We hope that you were able to see a "snap-shot" of what your 5th grader is accomplishing in 5th grade. Please know that we are available by email if you need to reach out to either of us about concerns as the year continues on.
A lot of amazing things are coming up on our HCS campus! Please read carefully through each announcement!
If you are interested in attending the Mother's Club meeting, it is on Wednesday, November 4th at 8 AM in the gym.
This Friday, November 6 is our first WARRIOR RALLY! This begins at 2 pm, and will include announcements of Honor Roll and High Honor Roll along with Fall sports teams being recognized. We hope to see you there.
We are having a canned food drive for the Salvation Army from Nov. 2nd-20th. The class that brings in the most per student will receive a reward. Students can bring food to their homeroom class any of the days listed above. The theme for the month of November is FRIENDS WHO SACRIFICE. Galatians 5:13 reminds us to “Serve one another humbly in love.” We can serve others and sacrifice by donating what God has so richly given to us.
Hanford Christian is having a food drive for the LOCAL Salvation Army. Please talk with your child about what your family can donate from your pantry to help others and WHY it’s important that we serve and sacrifice through donations. Each classroom will be collecting cans and boxes of food over the next two weeks. It’s amazing what can be collected when we all work together! Your student may bring in their donations all at once or one a day. Prayerfully consider how you can help local people by donating.
Our School Wide Veteran's Day assembly is coming up on Wednesday, November 11th. We will not have school Friday, November 13 to observe Veteran's Day.
We are gearing up for our Burris Park Field trip, November 12th. This field trip focuses on what we studied in science for first quarter about Organishms and their environments, food chains vs. food webs, and some local history of Kings County as well! Mrs. Anker and I will be reaching out to some of you as parents to see if we can have some help with driving our students to Burris Park, so please keep an eye out for that. The field trip will be from 9-1:30 and your students will need to bring a sack lunch for that day (no hot lunch orders.) More information for the field trip will be coming your way next week!
Remember, if your student is wanting extra practice with a concept, or some timed test practice, our 5th grade Resources page is a great place to find these items for them!
