Getting ready:
Record yourself saying your whole mihi and share it with whaea.
Choose your favourite (easy) recipe.
Whakamāoritia the recipe (write it in reo Māori). you can use the recipe that Whaea Kylie put on the whakarongo page and the video below from Matua to help you.
Record yourself giving the instructions.
CHOOSE AT LEAST TWO OF THE FOUR BELOW:
You need to submit two piece of kōrero mahi. They need to add up to more than three minutes in total.
Kōrero Portfolio one: at least 1 minute 30 seconds long
Write a speech for a leadership position. Present your case - why would you be good for the position. this can be individual or as part of a team. If you do it as part of a team, each of you need to have your own part of the speech to kōrero.
Have a practise recording and show Whaea for feedback before final recording.
Kōrero Portfolio two: talk about and answer questions about a journey.
Use your journey tuhinga as a base for this. Think about questions you can ask others and make sure you could answer that question if your were asked it.
Use: who, what, when,where, how and why.
