You can use these and visual aids, to help you retell an event in history.  you could also use the Pūrākau of Raureka (on the same site) to tell even more of the story - from when Waitaiki was formed and Poutini became the kaitiaki of our Coast until Ngai tahu took over the area.

The main thing you need to do is focus on learning the pūrākau, the haka and any waiata about pounamu.  Then think about how you will put the information together to retell it in your own way.

• Your presentation will need to be between 5-6 minutes.  

• You need to do it own your own.  

• Make a list of any references you used to get information.
