Benefit Updates

Due to construction at the Central Office, the Benefits Department will temporarily relocate to the former Overbrook Child Development Center at 111 Laurens Road in Greenville, 29607 (Directions). You will not be able to access in-person Benefits services at the Central Office during this time. Please plan accordingly, and we look forward to seeing you at 111 Laurens Road. If you are planning to visit the Benefits Department, please call us at 864-355-0960 before visiting to ensure you come to the correct location.

Open Enrollment for Employee Benefits Insurance Coverage

All eligible employees, including new hires and working retirees, must attend a meeting with a Ward Services counselor to document the offer of health insurance coverage. Eligible employees will schedule their in-person meeting through the Ward Services online application called Appointments Plus.  The exceptions to this procedure for this year’s open enrollment period is that Central Office and MT Anderson staff will have phone enrollment appointments due to construction projects. In addition, Transportation employees will schedule their appointments through their bus center. 

Open Enrollment will be held from September 15th through October 31st this year. Our enrollment partner, Ward Services, has prepared an overview for the Insurance Open Enrollment. You may also visit PEBA’s Open Enrollment website for additional details.  PEBA now requires an email address.  Even if you do not need to make an insurance change, please take the time to verify that your personal information is correct in PEBA’s system. 

All enrolled coverages as of 12/31/2026, except MoneyPlus Spending Accounts, will rollover to 2027.
You must RE-ENROLL in the MoneyPlus Spending Accounts, to have the account for 2027.
Late enrollments will not be accepted.
