The team is actively preparing for the next phase of the project — System Integration Testing (SIT). This week focused on data loads and validation to ensure the system is ready for teams to begin testing real business scenarios.
We finalized the selection of SplashBI as our Reporting and Analytics solution, which will support reporting and data visibility once the system goes live.
Next week, the Procurement consultant will be onsite at Space Drive meeting with the Procurement and Warehouse teams on Wednesday and Thursday morning. A Payroll session is also planned for next week.
As we move into SIT, teams will begin testing how processes work across departments to help identify and resolve issues early before the next phases of testing.
We officially wrapped up CRP2 this week. The phase did exactly what it was meant to do: surface gaps, expose issues, and pressure test the design before we move forward. If we hadn’t found anything, that would have been the real concern. We are actively prioritizing and resolving the items identified and will continue refining the system as we transition into SIT preparation. It’s normal for additional issues to surface in both SIT and UAT. Think of SIT as the next stretch and final checks before full system testing — tightening configurations, confirming integrations, and preparing to run everything together end-to-end.
This week, we completed Hire to Pay end-to-end sessions, connecting the full lifecycle from recruiting through payroll and costing. These sessions helped teams see how processes work together across HR, Finance, and Payroll. Strong discussions around approvals, handoffs, and data flow surfaced important questions — exactly what this phase is designed to do. A few items were identified that need clarification before signoff. Teams are logging and assigning those now as we prepare to move into System Integration Testing (SIT).
Looking Ahead – System Integration Testing (SIT): SIT is where we move from “we think it works” to “we know it works.” Testing is designed to uncover gaps, uncommon scenarios, and real-world challenges. Identifying issues during SIT and UAT is not a failure — it means the process is working. Every issue found now is one less surprise at go-live. SIT start dates will be announced soon.
Behind the scenes, teams across the organization are putting in the work to ensure FusionForward supports you from day one. This week, we completed our Procure to Pay walkthroughs — an important step that helps ensure the new system is practical, efficient, and aligned to real-life processes. The thoughtful engagement across teams is helping us strengthen the design before moving forward.
Next week, we begin Hire to Pay sessions while teams spend time getting hands-on experience and asking questions. This early involvement helps reduce surprises later and sets everyone up for a smoother transition. We are also preparing for System Integration Testing, where we will confirm the system performs as expected before advancing to the next phase, taking the time now to identify any gaps or concerns is how we build confidence — and avoid last-minute challenges.
Despite a snowy start to the week, work continued to move forward as we wrap up CRP2 (“Test Flight”) and prepare for what’s next. HR sessions are now being scheduled by employee group to allow for more focused discussions, with strong engagement already coming out of the teacher sessions and more planned across other HR areas. Next week shifts into targeted working sessions as we begin preparing for end-to-end testing, including upcoming Procure to Pay and Hire to Pay sessions in February. If you would like to be added to the FusionForward calendar or participate in any upcoming sessions, please contact Vickie Willis.
This was a productive week across Finance and HR as teams continued wrapping up CRP2 and validating real-world scenarios. The focus has been on making sure the system works the way people actually need it to. Next week, we’ll move into targeted working sessions around Recruiting and Onboarding, with end-to-end testing coming up soon.
This week marked solid progress across the project. Payroll and Procurement sessions both went well, with teams actively engaged and working through complex scenarios. The questions raised during these sessions were timely and valuable, helping confirm how processes should function and reducing risk as we move further through CRP2. Overall, discussions were productive, candid, and right where we expect them to be at this stage.
Looking ahead, several Finance and HR sessions are scheduled next week to continue hands-on validation of real-world scenarios. In parallel, planning is underway for upcoming end-to-end testing for Procure to Pay and Hire to Pay, which will take place ahead of System Integration Testing (SIT) to validate full process flow and key handoffs.
If you would like to be added to the FusionForward calendar or participate in any upcoming sessions, please contact Vickie Willis.
This was a strong and productive week, with great progress across several areas. The Benefits team stood out for their flexibility and problem-solving, finding ways to keep moving forward when challenges came up.
Next week will be busy, with multiple consultants onsite supporting Procurement, Finance, and Payroll. Payroll will be a major focus, with dedicated testing sessions scheduled throughout the week.
We’re also preparing for upcoming end-to-end CRP2 testing, tentatively planned for February 10-12. These sessions will walk through real-world scenarios from start to finish to confirm that processes and integrations are working together as expected. More details will be shared soon.
Thank you to everyone for the continued collaboration and engagement.
