WELDING
Contest Description:
Students will weld a model train utilizing both GMAW and SMAW welding techniques. Contestants will be provided with all materials required to complete this task.
Project Scope:
The purpose of this welding competition is to assess participants’ ability to fabricate a specified assembly according to technical drawings and industry standards. The competition emphasizes precision in dimensional layout, correct orientation of components, welding quality, safe practice in GMAW and SMAW and overall finish.
