JOB SKILL DEMONSTRATION
Contest Description:
The purpose of the Job Skills Demonstration contest is to evaluate each competitor’s ability to clearly, safely, and effectively demonstrate hands-on job skills. Competitors must show the steps of the skill, explain their process, and communicate the task in a professional and easy-to-follow way.
Project Scope:
Competitors must make a copy, complete and email the Job Skills Description & Safety Sheet to the Event Chair one week before the competition. Each competitor is allowed a maximum of 30 minutes in total, which includes set-up, the demonstration, and takedown. Visual aids such as signs, props, or a single model may be used to support the presentation. This is an individual event; however, assistants may help with set-up, takedown, or by acting as a model, but may not participate in or contribute to the demonstration itself.
Tools/ Supplies Required to be brought by students:
Students are required to bring visual aids, such as props or a model, to enhance and demonstrate the skill effectively.
