BAKING

Contest Description: 

This contest will test students’ practical baking skills in three major areas of baking.

Participants will also have their professional habits observed with a focus on proper food handling, safe equipment use, and correct conduct while working in the kitchen environment. Students demonstrate proper work habits while following the instruction in the given recipes and following an action plan to complete and present all three products within the given time frame.


Project Scope:

Students must demonstrate proper knowledge of tool and ingredients selection

throughout this competition. Students must demonstrate proper safety measures at all times throughout this competition.

Time management is essential, and all competitors are expected to follow their schedule and remain organized. Only completed products are to be presented to judges.

Students are expected to maintain a clean working area throughout the competition and clean as they go. At the end of the competition, all ingredients must be put away, all tools and surfaces must be cleaned and sanitized.


Tools/ Supplies Required to be brought by students:

No tools required. But wear proper attire and PPE.
