ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS
Contest Description:
Competitors are expected to perform competently in all aspects of wiring installations by completing the assigned tasks based on the provided drawings and specifications. All work must comply with the rules and regulations outlined in the 2021 Canadian Electrical Code, Part 1, 25th Edition, as well as adhere to the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the Regulations for Construction Projects (213/91).
Project Scope:
The assigned task requires a thorough working knowledge of electrical wiring, including safety rules and practices in the electrical construction field; proper use of tools, materials, and equipment for installation; basic electrical theory such as mathematical calculations, circuitry, schematics, prints, and electrical measurements; installation of distribution equipment and branch circuits; familiarity with various wiring types, methods, and practices; installation of outlet boxes and related devices; and the ability to troubleshoot installations if problems arise.

screw drivers
3 Robertson screw drivers (1 red, 1 black, 1 green handle)
2 flat screw drivers (small and large)
2 Philips screw drivers (small and large)
pliers
1 linesmen pliers
1 diagonal pliers
1 adjustable pliers (channellocks)
1 long-nosed pliers
wire strippers
1 non-metallic sheath cable stripper
solid blade knife
torpedo level
assorted driver bits
METRIC tape measure or combination (all project dimensions are Metric)
personal protective equipment listed in the SAFETY portion of this scope
Competitors must be dressed in a clean and appropriate manner with no logos other than that of their school/school board.
