This course offers learners a broad introduction to the creative industries in the UK, giving them opportunities to develop employability skills alongside their choice of creative skills. The course allows learners to experience vocationally related learning and gives them opportunities to develop a range of Core Skills through practical experiences in a vocational environment.

Suits pupils with an interest in other creative subjects including music, music technology, art and design, photography, drama, theatre design.
Learners will investigate a range of sectors and career opportunities in the creative industries before selecting a sector and job role of personal interest on which to focus. Learners will have the opportunity to practise and develop specific practical skills, learn the key stages of a creative process and work as part of a team to plan and implement a creative project.
A key focus of the course is to provide learners with the opportunity to work with others to plan, develop, implement and evaluate a creative project in response to a given brief.
Four mandatory units, assessed through practical work and a folio of evidence.
On Completion of this course GHS offers progression to the Level 6 NC in Creative Industries.
Pupils can choose to develop creative skills appropriate to a wide range of sectors in the Creative Industries.
The employability skills developed will support young people whatever career they choose.
